Recruitment of various posts in Sashastra Seema Bal
Sashastra Seema Bal was established as Special Service Bureau in May
1963, in the
aftermath of the
Chinese aggression (in 1962). Sashastra Seema Bal came under aegis
of the Ministry of
Home Affairs (Jan 2001). SSB was declared a Lead Intelligence
Agency for Indo
Nepal (June 2001) and assigned the Indo Nepal border. Later, SSB
was also assigned
Indo Bhutan border (March 2004).
SSB Recruits Constables Driver for 2013
Applications are invited from male candidates who fulfill the following eligibility criterion for filling up the vacancies in the rank of Constable (Driver) in the pay scale of Rs. 5200 - 20200 in the grade pay of Rs.2000/- and other allowances admissible to Central Govt. employees from time to time in “Sashastra Seema Bal”. The last date of receipt of application is 01-08-2013. However, the closing date for receipt of applications (by post) for the candidates from North-Eastern States, Sikkim, Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba, Lahaul & Spiti and Kinnaur Districts of Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh Division, Kashmir of J&K State and the Union Territories of Anadaman and Nicobar islands and the Lakshadweep will be08-08-2013.
Recruitment of Constable Tradesman in SSB
Applications are invited from eligible Male and Female Indian citizens for filling up the following Group ‘C’ Combatised, Non-Gazetted (Non-Ministerial) posts in Tradesmen Cadres in SSB for the year 2013 in the pay scale of(Pay Band-I)Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2000/-per month plus usual and admissible allowances to CentralGovernment employees including ration money, washing allowance, dearness allowance, transport allowance,medical assistance, free uniform, free accommodation, free leave passes and any other allowance as admissible in the Force from time to time under the Rules/ Instructions.
The post is temporary but likely to become permanent. The posts have all India transfer liability and selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and abroad. On appointment, the candidate shall be governed by SSB Act and Rules. These posts will be covered under New Restructured Defined Contributory Pension Scheme.
Last date of receipt of application is 31.07.2013 for all states except for Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep for which
