Reserve Bank call for the Recruitment of Officers in Gr ‘B’ (General)-DR & Recruitment of Security Guards
The Reserve Bank of India was established on
April 1, 1935 in accordance with the provisions of the Reserve
Bank of India Act, 1934.
The Central Office
of the Reserve Bank was initially established in Calcutta but was permanently
moved to Mumbai in 1937. The Central Office is where the Governor sits and where
policies are formulated. Though originally
privately owned, since nationalisation in 1949, the Reserve Bank is fully owned
by the Government of India.
The
Preamble of the Reserve Bank of India describes the basic functions of the Reserve
Bank as:
"...to
regulate the issue of Bank Notes and keeping of reserves with a view to securing
monetary stability in India and generally to operate the currency and credit system
of the country to its advantage."
Before applying, candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility
criteria for the post. The Reserve Bank of India Services Board, hereinafter
referred to as 'Board', would admit to the Examinations all the candidates
applying for this post with the requisite fee (wherever applicable) on the basis
of the information furnished in the ON-LINE application and shall determine
their eligibility only at the final stage i.e. interview stage. If at that stage, it is
found that any information furnished in the ON-LINE application is false/
incorrect or if according to the Board, the candidate does not satisfy the
eligibility criteria for the post, his/ her candidature will be cancelled and he
will not be allowed to appear for interview.
Candidates are requested to apply only ON-LINE through Bank's website
www.rbi.org.in No other mode for submission of application is available.
Recruitment in Class IV Cadre – Security Guards (Only for ex-servicemen)
Applications
are hereby invited from Indian citizens who fulfill the eligibility
criteria and residing in the State of Maharashtra (excluding Vidarbha
Region), State of Goa and Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli for
enlistment in the Wait List for the post of Security Guard in Class-IV
cadre.
